Courses of study

Since the Bologna reform, universities of applied sciences and other universities in Europe have all been offering equivalent bachelors' and masters' degree courses. Students following the degree courses offered by the universities of applied sciences acquire specific science-based professional qualifications. The universities of applied sciences focus on the commercial and practical aspects of training to a greater extent than the academic universities, and are specially suited to students who wish to train for specific professions.

The applied psychology course offered by the ZHAW School of Applied Psychology prepares students for various professions in healthcare, social services, education, the economic and administrative sectors, and in the areas of culture and communication. Students who successfully complete the course are awarded a Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in Applied Psychology.
