Preparatory course for admission examination
(applies only to people who do not meet the formal conditions for admission: see 2c).
AKAD in collaboration with the ZHAW School of Applied Psychology offers a preparatory course to people who have finished a three-year apprenticeship that is recognised by the Confederation (without a vocational matriculation). This course ends with an examination that is accepted as the formal examination for admission to the School of Applied Psychology; students sit the examination with AKAD.
The ZHAW School of Applied Psychology also subjects all applicants to a challenging psychological aptitude test which, according to experience, is passed by only 25% to 30% of all applicants. It is therefore advisable to first do the psychological aptitude test or to contact the department secretariat for information before starting the preparatory course.
