Programme structure

All courses of study can be attended full-time or part-time.

Every year  the full-time course starts at the beginning of the autumn semester in week 38. The part-time course starts of the spring semester in week 8 every two years. For both options the course year consists of an autumn and a spring semester of a maximum of 17 weeks each, during which time classes must be attended in person. Students also have to do a substantial amount of self-study during the semester as well as during their vacations.

Students must earn 180 ECTS credits for a Bachelor degree. These credits are awarded over the course of the degree based on the student's performance. Full-time students earn 30 ECTS credits per semester and their Bachelor course lasts 6 semesters. The number of ECTS credits awarded per semester to part-time students varies, and the course is correspondingly longer, lasting a minimum of 10 semesters.

Full-time course

Full-time students earn 30 ECTS credits per semester and their Bachelor course lasts six semesters.

These students attend classes during the day from Monday to Friday. Between class attendance and the hours required for self-study, students have an average workload of 40 hours per week spread over 45 weeks per year.

Part-time course

The number of ECTS credits for students taking the new 10-semester part-time course can vary per semester, but an average of 18 ECTS credits can be earned per semester.

Classes will be on Fridays and Saturdays.

Self-study is required in addition to the attendance of courses. The average workload per week is likely to be around 25 hours, spread over 45 weeks per year. Detailed information in this regard is expected to be available around the beginning of April 2009. All available information will be presented on our website.
